What to expect from us
Our Norwegian Forest Kittens experience an attentive, loving, smoke-free home before they leave to adopting owners. We have 2 school age daughters who groom and care for our kittens so they will be very comfortable with children. We engage our kittens daily with play and handling, and give them regular brushing. These activities acclimate them to being handled so their transition to your home is less stressful for all.
Once kittens are booked at 6 weeks, we post weekly pictures and videos on social media (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook) so that the adopting owners are confident of the kittens’ temperaments. After health, an affectionate and confident temperament is our primary breeding goal.
Our breeding cats are tested for FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus) & FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), GSDIV (Glycogen Storage Disease type IV), PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease), and HCM (Feline Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy). Kittens will have a veterinarian check-up before moving to their new home; vaccinations will also have been started. Kittens will require additional vaccinations.
In addition to your new kitten, we will provide you with:

- Complete veterinary records of your kitten including recent immunizations
- Copies of each parent’s most recent genetic screening results
- Kitten Registration with both TICA and CFA, and instructions for ordering your own laminated pedigree from TICA once transfer of ownership is complete upon spay/neuter
- Binder with information about your Norwegian Forest Kitten with tips and advice
- A gift for you and your kitten
