LITTER I

‘Norwegian Olympians’ LITTER I

Born 3-20-2022

PEDIGREE ⧉

I grew up in far NW Minnesota, a cold and snowy place wherein if you didn’t skate, you didn’t play. As a girl growing up in the 1970s-80s, this meant figure skating and cross-country skiing, which I did every day. Every four years, I would be glued to the Winter Olympics on TV; Norwegians are, of course, also very serious about their winter sports and thrive at the Winter Games. This litter is named after a few notable Norwegian Olympians (of course, there are many more to discover!). In fact, Norwegians have earned MORE WINTER OLYMPIC MEDALS THAN ANY OTHER COUNTY: from 1924-2022, Norway has amassed a total of 405 medals. This is uniquely impressive considering that Norway is a small country with a population of just over 5 million people.
