Mama Yara gave birth to her first litter of two beautiful tortoiseshell girls on August 5, 2021 – Bjarne is the proud Papa.

Loki – the infamous trickster god Loki, name means “lock/key”

This young lass was named by our 14-year-old, Svea, who loves both Marvel comics and Norse Mythology. Svea has also attended Sjölunden Swedish language camp in Minnesota and plans to travel to Sverige someday to visit her namesake. Female kitten Loki a glossy black tortie with matching boots of white; she may just trick you into loving her!

Runi – means “secret”

Named by our 12-year-old, Saga, who visited Norway, Sweden and Iceland with mom in 2019. Saga and I spent a lot of time in Oslo where her great-grandmother Thora (my grandmother) was born; Saga’s Norsk roots run deep, as she also has a famous relative from her other grandmother’s side of the family, the explorer Roald Amundsen. It’s no secret that Runi, a lovely black tortie spotted tabby is full of the tiger!
